Financial Report.

Financial Report Summary:
The Finance Team is responsible for all of the financial modeling jobs during this time period.

Financial Report:
With the unemployment rates reaching nearly as high as it has ever been before, women were struggling to find reasonable jobs. The demand for teachers, sales persons, telephone operators, nurses, social workers, file clerks, and secretaries has shot up through the roof, and are now the most popular jobs for women during these early years of the 1940’s. There have been a very low amount of worries for the men, for most of them are in the war, and they are leaving behind their wives and their children, leaving the wives to find work for themselves.
With the need of jobs rising from the women population, they are going into factories such as FORDE, and CAROUSEL making new inventions, bombs and aircraft parts to send over to the war.

Holokauston News Paper

Health and Medicine:

Diseases Affecting the World:

Polio is becoming an annual epidemic during this time period of the 1940’s. Polio is experienced with these following symptoms: paralysis, pain, weakness, in coordination, deformity, and fatigue.

Polio is caused by a virus which often results in an acute infection. This infection is usually associated by young children getting infected by this virus-borne disease. Parents are becoming scared every time one of their children has complaints of sore throat, or being over heated (a fever) they fear that is associated with the polio disease.
When polio invades the nervous system, over about twenty five percent of the patients suffer of mild cases, and about seventy five percent of the patients have a very serious case, such as paralysis in the arms, and legs. But when paralysis reaches the muscles of the suffering patients throats death is a major possibility.

In conclusion, sense polio affects more children they were also the most applicable to spread it to others.

Atomic Bomb—Soviet Union (SU):

At a remote test site at Semipalatinsk in Kazakhstan, the USSR successfully detonates its first atomic bomb, the secret and or code name is "First Lightning." In order to measure the effects of the blast, the Soviet scientists constructed buildings, bridges, and other civilian structures in the vicinity of the bomb. They also placed animals in cages nearby so that they could test the effects of nuclear radiation on human-like mammals. The atomic explosion, which at 20 kilotons was roughly similar to "Trinity," the first U.S. atomic explosion, destroyed those structures and burned the ashes of the animals. Meaning that the animal’s ashes were burned, and the buildings and other structures built by scientists to test the bomb were also destroyed. The long term effect of this bomb, and or the rough side of this new invention is that once used you can’t take it back. Many others will start making these bombs and wrecking everything within miles of the bomb’s explosion.

Diseases Affecting the World:

Soilders in the war are facing pnuemonia, caused by being exposed to elements that attack their respitory systems. Many other diseases are being faced on the "field" because of contaminated water and not being able clean their bodies, this can end up causing disentery.
In many countries currently, their are being shots created to cure these following diseases, Tetanus* SmallPox* Diphtheria* and Pertussis*. These shots are expected to be in the bodies of many by the late 1940's.

Advice Column:

Dear Emma,

I completely understand where you are coming from with your situation, of your loneliness without your husband with you. Many people are in the same place that you are with your husbands and loved ones out at war, leaving behind a silent absence. I personally know exactly what you are going through because my husband is out in war too. It’s very hard not being able to wake up with him beside you or to just simply feel the comfort of knowing that he was safe in his office at his work location. Now that he is gone and not in his office, I feel this sudden urge come over me, this sudden feeling of despair and solitude. I miss feeling comforted, too.

So just know that you aren’t alone. What I would suggest doing is to find something that you love to do, and put all of your sadness into that. Maybe Baseball, maybe factory work, whatever is helpful to you and to others. Find that place where you feel empty the most… and fill it!

In Memory Of Dr. Seuss (Tribute To Theodor Seuss Geisel)

“Theodor Seuss Geisel (“Ted”) was born on March 2, 1904, in Springfield, Massachusetts.”
During the World War 2 time period he wrote approximately 3-5 political cartoons that were very urgent. He submitted them each week to PM Magazine, over a short time period he was considered to be a permanent liberal (open-minded) supplier of the magazine. However, Ted wanted to contribute more to the war than just political cartoons on a permanent bases.
When he made the decision to be more involved in the war, he was 38, already too old to draft (in the war) , he wanted a commission (payment) for naval intelligence.
*Meaning he wanted to give money to the war because he couldn’t give his service. So sort-of-like donating to a charity, except he was donating to War.

Sports Column Baseball

(Main Idea) During this time period of World War 2, there are many conflicts resulting the theory that when loved ones are out at sea, baseball should not be of main importance. It should be the lives of their families out in war, not the swinging of bats and balls, and most importantly the people swinging those bats and balls are WOMEN!!

“Swatting balls while their loved ones were dying on foreign shores?” Baseball has become a disagreement during this War World 2 time period. Women’s baseball has become the main conflict during this time because of the simple fact that their loved ones are out at war and they are more concerned about their next coming baseball game, or season. Sense women aren’t allowed at war most of the women are turning to sports to side their worries and concerns about their family members out at war. But many are complaining about the “Baseball during War conflict”. The baseball officials and many of the fans are complaining about the fact that they should be doing all they can do to help end the war and send the troops home, but the baseball players are doing the exact opposite, turning towards their sports side.

While the president is showing a different side “I honestly think that it would be best for baseball to keep going”. Also stating in a letter, ‘‘Americans ought to have a chance for recreation and for taking their minds off their work even more than before.’’

Political Cartoon

Political Cartoon:

Grinch Or Saint Nick?
As to where Hitler's discrimination against Jews catorgorizes to be like the Grinch to the fellow memebers of the Nazi Party he is simular to St. Nick. Hitler is giving the fellow members of the Nazi Party everything they have ever wanted, wrapping it all in a box and sticking it under their tree.
So is Hitler the Grinch or St. Nick?

Literary Review

Literary Review:
I reviewed the Movie Listings for this month. The most recent movies in the "Cinema World". I reviewed an article once again written by Time Magazine (Our Business Partners) about each of the most popular movie's reviews. In the article the movie "I'll Be Seeing You" was the most reviewed by the audience. Also, recieving 4 1/2 stars for its movie performance.I completely agreed with everything the author wrote.
It was my favorite article, that I've read in a while, because the writer used specific details such as "I'll Be Seeing You, has been about as crowded as the Sunday Market each day it has been open to the public in the cinema."
I also loved that the writer didnt make it too terribly long, but it wasnt too short either.

Dr. Seuss Strikes Yet Again!!

Dr. Seuss Strikes Yet Again!!
Dr. Suess's Political Cartoons have become a very addictive part of PM Magazine. We have recalled many sending in comments to the PM Magazine editorial page. The most recent comment being "Dr. Seuss's Political Cartoons are becoming the best part of every week, and are becoming hooking of my attention. These cartoons are becoming more and more like my situations and basically 'lay out' exactly what I've been thinking of."
These reviews just keep on getting better and better, and so far no bad reflections have been sent in. Dr. Seuss is on a major roll, and we are hoping that he won't get off of it anytime soon.

Adolf Hitler:
Adolf Hitler "Hitler" commited suicide on April 30th 1945. Hitler shot himself in the temple, while chewing on a cyanide capsule. Hitler allegedly "put his foot down" while giving his secretary his will and his political statement, the day before he commited suicide on April 29. A theory being talked about is that when Hitler's dear friend, and partner in combat, Benito Mussolini, was violentely murdered, Hitler's feelings of being captured rose, so he took his life, and his newly wedded wife, Eva Braun, also took her life the same day Hitler took his own.
Eva Braun:
On April 29th 1945, was one of Eva Braun's happiest days of her life. She married the love of her life, Adolf Hitler. Many of her close friends and family have claimed to " have never seen her happier". On April 30th, 1945 two minutes before her newly wedded husband, Hitler took his own life, by gun-shot wounds to the temple, and biting down on a cyanide capsule, Eva Braun swallowed poision. Braun and Hitler's bodies were cremated with petrol (british for gasoline)in the Reich Chancellery Garden, from requests from Hitler and Braun themselves.

Anti-Semitism

The word antisemitism means hatrid of the Jewish resident. Hitler has recently written and published his book Mein Kampf or (My Struggle). The summary of this book meaning the perminant expolsion of all Jews from the Germany border(s). So far the German's (Nazi Party led by Hitler) has burned books written by Jewish authors, burned down residencies, and even egaged boycotts against the Jews. With all this in action, who knows what Hitler and fellow Nazi Party participants will be up to next.

Holokauston Newspaper

Holokauston:
Over nine million Jewish citizens have already lost their lives as a result of the racial prejudice, dished out from the Nazi Party. Which is lead by no other than the cruel, and in-sensitive Adolf Hitler (goes by Hitler). Hitler has shown no mercy to any of the Jewish, and if things aren't chaged soon, there might be only maybe one million Jewish lives left.
The plan "The Final Solution" is soppoased to rid of all "Jews" and leave their race extinct with absolutely no way of being able to create any form of Jewish children. As a result to this, Hitler and the Nazi Party are in the process of setting up Concentration Camps, which are camps that are soppoased to dislodge all of the Jews' lives. The idea of this camp is to rid' all Jews of their existance. With absoultely no sign of the German's surrendering, much of the Jewish population has either been excommunicated or have suffered major abuse, and are having their last breaths.
Leaving many Jewish familes to pray that they will stay alive until the next day only wishing to see their familes who most of the time, been isolated without their familes being notified. Which are how these Concentration Camps are ran.
